主讲人简介

Petar Bojanić is a Professor of Philosophy and Principal Research Fellow at the Institute for Philosophy and Social Theory of the University of Belgrade.

Bojanić studied philosophy at the University of Belgrade and at the École des hautes études en sciences sociales in Paris, under the supervision of Miladin Životić and Jacques Derrida respectively. He obtained his PhD from Université Paris X (Nantere), with the thesis topic “La guerre (dernière) et l’institution de la philosophie” [(Last) War and the Institution of Philosophy], defended before a committee comprising Étienne Balibar, Jean-Luc Nancy, Jacques Derrida and Gérard Bensussan.

Petar Bojanić’s research on war, ethics of war, violence and its interruption, Jewish political theory has been profoundly enriched by his study of institutions and counter-institutions, consideration of engaged and (negative) social acts, as well as by the theory of the architectural concept and project.

His books include Violence and Messianism: Jewish Philosophy and the Great Conflicts of the 20th Century (Routledge, 2017), Institutions in Action: The Nature and the Role of Institutions in the Real World (ed. with Tiziana Andina) (Springer, 2020), and In-Statuere: Figures of Institutional Building (Vittorio Klostermann, 2022).

He has been a visiting professor at many universities around the world, such as at Cornell, in Aberdeen, Yekaterinburg, London, Rome, Paris, Fudan and others.

Bojanić has held scholarships from a number of foundations, and has headed numerous research projects. He was the principal fellow of a project on the ethics of war in the eastern European tradition and in Orthodox Christianity at the University of Yekaterinburg, funded by the Russian Science Foundation. He teaches graduate level philosophy at the University of Turin, University of Rijeka, and University of Belgrade. 讲座1:Kant and the Concept of the Unjust Enemy

时间:2025年5月21日(周三)19:00-21:00

讲座介绍:The lecture once more reconstructs the perennially fashionable “figure” within public and international law, as well as a theologized construction: an evil-doer who must be destroyed in the conflict or war. The “unjust enemy,” always mutually recognized and often indicated as the other side in every conflict (and particularly ambiguously and obscurely in the current war between Russia and Ukraine), should satisfy certain conditions for them to be linked to “evil” and “the alliance of all against evil,” in the production of world peace and infinite restraint from war. By classifying various forms of hostile protocols, first of all in Kant, my intention is to show the substantive incompleteness and weakness of the term “enemy,” and thus the impossibility and myth of a symmetric use of force.

讲座2:Motives Methods Moments (On French Philosophy)

时间:2025年5月23日(周五)19:00-21:00

讲座介绍:In this lecture, my aim is to reconstruct several key models concerning the formation and meaning of the institution of philosophy among different philosophers who wrote in French. I will analyze several fragments that may serve as exemplary in the constitution of the "Frenchness" of French philosophy—or of philosophy as such, or perhaps even "European philosophy." Derrida, Foucault, Deleuze, and Latour will be at the center of my attention, with all the differences they embody, while simultaneously shaping what continues to be called "French theory."
